It's three pieces. The bottom cup has a little spout on it. It also has a non-skid ring on the bottom to help prevent splippage. The top and bottom cups are graduated with Tbls, ml, and Cups measurements. All three pieces fit very well together and disassemble easily. Also, the manufacturer states that this is dishwasher safe, though I hand-wash mine.

Juice Extractor Fagor Enerjuicer Dual Speed Juice Extractor

The juicer "works as advertised" and I like the slow juicing setting,
is bigger (and heavier) than I expected but it looks good.
Not too easy to clean (it has many parts).
Is fast, and efficient for fruits and vegetables (not herbs)
but for grass or cilantro or any other herb it makes a lousy job.
I just got a $20 manual juicer for grass and cilantro and both
juicers cover my needs.

I really like this juicer; my juice still has a lot of foam despite using the fine mesh grate and cutting the fruit/veggies into small pieces. Needless to say it works, but I don't juice as much as I anticipated due to the foam factor and the time it takes to break it down, scrub the particles out, dry and reassemble.

I am tired of searching and searching for decent juice at the store and then overpaying for it. I decided to purchase a juicer and so far have not been let down. This juicer works great, easy to assemble, easy to clean. All parts that need to be cleaned are even dishwasher safe. I was thinking about purchasing the Jack Lalane juicer but have heard the reviews of how tough it is to clean. I think this was a great choice. I did notice that it helps to run the pulp back through and you get way more juice out of it but big deal...I can handle that. I have already recommended this product to others.

I only need this juicer for wheatgrass. Can this juicer extracted grass juices?

A:Hello Liz. I have never juiced wheatgrass, but from the leafy green that I have used in this juicer I would not recommend it. From the research that I have done you might want to get a juicer that has a hand crank that way the wheatgrass doesnt clog up the juicer.

My experience is limited to the Omega 1000 and 4000. Both are very good machines, but one of them has some distinct advantages.
As the other reviewers have noted, this machine is very solidly built & should easily outlast the 15 year warranty. However, I think the model 1000 will probably last even longer.
Why? Because the 4000 is so much more pleasant to use that you will use it more, because the operating principle is a little different.
Both machines have a chute that you feed fruits & vegatables into. At the bottom of the chute is a stainless steel disc/blade that grinds up the food into a pulp.
On the 1000 model, the pulp is thrown out by centrifugal force into a drum that is just like a washing machine drum - it is perforated stainless that traps the pulp on the inside and allows the juice to strain out. Just like on a washing machine spin cycle, it is possible to get the contents out of balance so that the whole machine shakes & makes a real racket! This is very easy to do on the 1000 if you load apples or other foods with skins, because the skin will often stay intact so it has to go on one spot on the drum, throwing it out of balance like a pair of jeans. There are some "tricks" that help in this case, such as saving some carrots for this emergency. Many times feeding a carrot will stop the shaking.
Another consequence of the "spin-cycle" approach is that after you have feed a few pieces of fruit, the pulp in the drum can clog, trapping all the juice inside. This happens especially when you try to juice bananas, pineapple or strawberries.Read more

I have used a few different brands of juicers in the past, and the Brentwood did not disappoint me at all. I was impressed by the 800 watts of power, and two speed settings, as well as the sturdy construction. I like the pitcher that collects the juice, more so than the one that comes with the higher end Breville. It fits well under the spout, and does have the divider to prevent foamy juice when poured into a glass. The pulp catcher fits securely, and does not allow any stray pulp to escape from around the top edges. It is not as loud as other juicers I have used either. It has a nice wide mouth, so prep time is low. Clean up time was also a breeze with this Brentwood. The con? The pulp is a bit wetter than a Breville would have it, but not as wet as other juicers I have tried; it is not so bad as to deduct a star though. I have no problem recommending this product; it was a great buy.

A couple tips for new juicer's: Buy a Denture Toothbrush from the dollar store(or Amazon) as it is the prefect clean up tool for the mesh basket; it will cut your cleanup time way down, and works far better than other brushes.
In the instructions it states to turn your juicer on for ten seconds before adding your veggies; this is a good recommendation.
Organic veg. and fruits can be costly, but pesticides are of concern on regular harvests. I suggest you soak your veggies in water with a bit of salt and vinegar for about 15 minutes before juicing(you can pre-clean future batches at the same time).

Juice Extractor Hurom HU-100 Masticating Slow Juicer, White

For the last four years I've used a centrifugal juicer and always wanted a masticating juicer, but never bought one because I knew some of them had problems juicing fruits, and also that they're very slow.

So, when I saw the advertisement for this "slow" juicer that was fast and which could juice both leafy greens and fruits equally well, I was very excited. I raptly watched the video demonstrations of its capabilities and ordered it promptly. Some of its purported advantages of extremely dry pulp, more juice, little to no foam, etc. have fallen far short of the promises made. I notice no increased amount of juice, the foam is absolutely no less than it was with a centrifugal juicer, and UNLIKE my trusty centrifigual juicer the Hurom does a LOUSY job of juicing greens. Just try to juice a leaf of Kale and you'll find it gets all wound up around the screw that is supposed to be chewing it up. It's a mess! I have to stop, put it in reverse, which makes the top come off, then unplug it, stick my hands down around the screw and try to get some of the stuck kale out. And, if you are going to juice a green like kale, do it last or anything you try to juice afterwards will also get stuck around the screw with the kale and not get juiced.

I have also NOT noticed any less separation than the juice created with my centrifugal juicer. So, that's a bust, too.

On the positive side, here are some things I do like about it better than my centrifugal -- it's blessedly quiet, the juice doesn't spit out at high velocity causing splashing everywhere, also small berries and things like pomengranate seeds are easier to juice since they're not trying to jump back out the top of the juicer like they do with the high-speed velocity of the centrifugal juicer.Read more

I have never had a juicer that did a better job of squeezing the juice out of oranges. My only issues is some small seeds and pulp did come through the strainer so I had to remove them before I served the orange juice.

Because of the way this juicer is made it puts a lot of pressure on whatever you want to juice. I used navel oranges both big and small and there was no juice left in them after I used the juicer. All I did was push down on the handle and watch as my oranges were pressed to the point where there was no juice left.
